Creating tone in collagraph prints

26th – 27th April 2023. 10.00am – 4.00pm.

On this two day course we will explore designing and building collagraph plates to ensure they contain strong highlights, deep shadows, and everything in between. Planning and controlling tone in your design at the plate building stage makes it easier to produce interesting prints with depth and perspective. Printing the plates in different ways will give you feedback on the methods you have used, and set you up to continue with your own work after the course is over.

Courses run in my print studio at Copmanthorpe near York, UK.

There are three students on the course to ensure everyone has space and time to get the most out of the course. All materials are provided, as well as drinks and biscuits, the only thing you need to bring is a packed lunch.

The course is suitable for all levels of printmaking experience, or none at all.  Everybody creates a mini portfolio of unique original prints to take home.
