Exploring chine collee

£170.00

Monday 27th + Tuesday 28th March 2023. 10.00am – 4.00pm.

Chine collee is a collage technique that adds extra layers to your prints. It is a great method for introducing areas of specific colour, text or photographic images into your prints. We will create our own chine collee papers as well as exploring a range of ‘ready made’ papers with images, text, maps and more.
Chine collee can be incorporated into many different types of relief and intaglio printmaking, so whether you are doing drypoint, collagraph, lino or woodcut you will be able to extend your prints in new and exciting ways.

Courses run in my print studio at Copmanthorpe near York, UK.

There are three students on the course to ensure everyone has space and time to get the most out of the course. All materials are provided, as well as drinks and biscuits, the only thing you need to bring is a packed lunch.

The course is suitable for all levels of printmaking experience, or none at all.  Everybody creates a mini portfolio of unique original prints to take home.
